Ian Kennedy, Head Practioner

Ian Kennedy has in one way or another been involved in the health and wellness field even before he was aware that this would be his life path. His first meaningful employment just out of high school was working in a residential facility for the mentally and physically challenged. Patience, persistence and caring seemed to come naturally to him at an early age. His pursuit in the martial arts led him to teach for his first Karate instructor and later opened his own Martial Arts school. In that setting he found great satisfaction helping his students go beyond their perceived mental boundaries and physical limitations. Throughout those years Ian continued his own studies and received black belts in several classical Martial Arts.
Later, Ian looked for even greater challenges and joined the U.S. Army and successfully completed his training as a combat medic. Upon his honorable discharge from the service he joined an ambulance squad, worked as a doctors’ assistance in a private practice and later worked as an understudy with an acupuncturist for nine years.
This is where he was introduced to the many modalities of Traditional Chinese Medicine, muscle response testing, energetic and esoteric therapies. After leaving that practice he found himself in his first of many classes in European Biological Medicine under Dr. Thomas Rau. He completed that two year training in 2008 culminating with an internship at the Paracelsus clinic in Switzerland. He has continued to explore the use of homeopathy, nutrition and anthroposophical approaches in assisting the health and well-being of his clients.
Ian founded The True Wellness Center with his wife Kelly Kennedy and continues to guide people in restoring, maintaining and advancing their optimal health. He is on the advisory board for B.R.M.I. (Bioregulatory Medicine Institute) and is a frequent contributor to their newsletter. He has also been a presenter at a B.R.M.I. conference sharing his unique approach to health and wellness with other doctors and practitioners. Today, his multi-level approach goes beyond the health of the body for those seeking a deeper holistic lifestyle with what he has termed as a Bioregulatory Lifestyle. Currently, he is working on his first compressive book focused on living a Bioregulatory Lifestyle.

Sarah Eckhard, Bodyworker, FLOW Master, LMST

Sarah Eckhard first found True Wellness as a client in 2017 while she was in search of answers for her chronic skin problems, not yet aware that she was really searching for answers to heal her broken heart. It was a long journey to health and Sarah absorbed as much as True Wellness would teach her about her own healing process and the way our emotions connect with our physical sensations; this piece of the philosophy of Biological Medicine was what she had always believed to be true about health but had never experienced as a patient of typical western medicine her whole life.
Since 2016, Sarah has been passionately teaching yoga, continuing to delve deeper and expand her knowledge of the practice wherever and whenever she can. Within her first three years as a teacher, she had taught over 1000 hours of classes and had been certified as a prenatal/postnatal yoga teacher under Sue Elkind at Dig Yoga in Lambertville, NJ. During those first years of her career, she also began exploring energy healing and became a Reiki Master as well as a level two Healing Touch practitioner. 2019 was an expansive year for Sarah as she traveled the world, going as far as Indonesia and Argentina, to train in teaching partner yoga. The partner practice of Acro Yoga opened Sarah up in ways she never could have expected, completely changing the way she related to humanity and the people around her. It was amidst the push to study partner practices that Sarah found Thai Yoga Massage, a form of partner therapeutics that immediately spoke to her heart. Joining the True Wellness team has given Sarah an outlet to bring together five years of gathered knowledge into one space as well as continue her education into so many of the areas that were key to her own health journey like lymphatic drainage therapies and different forms of bodywork including Craniosacral Fascial Technique and therapeutic massage. The unique perspective of being a client for so many years paired with her intuitive empathy allows Sarah to hold safe and sacred space for clients to allow the healing process to unfold.
Dimitria Stevenson, Integrative Health & Wellness Coach

Dimitria found the alternative health world through her own journey struggling with debilitating chronic fatigue, brain fog, Lyme Disease, EBV and massive food sensitivities. It was only after finding Biological/bioregulatory medicine at The True Wellness Center, in combination with her education in nutrition, was she able to make her way back to a full recovery.
She is now using her education & experience to help spread the word around this root cause medicine by aiding with sales, marketing and in the recovery and healing of clients at the True Wellness Center by providing valuable insights into a clean non-toxic living.
